I have a wedding in December and I've got everything ready except my shoes. I am hand-capped. The shoes I'm wearing now are black gym shoes. They are very good shoes. I paid $200.00. But they don't look good for a wedding. I have seen shoes that lace up and have sequins and lace on them. This is a very fancy wedding. Any suggestions as to where I might be able to get a pair. Thank you.

I would recommend you go to the Fashion Forum or the Shoe Forum. I'm sure someone there can help you.

Can you wear a maxi dress/gown to the wedding? I don't think anyone would fault you for wearing the gym shoes.

If all else failed, you might try googling "sequin gym shoes". I think you'll see some options that might work, at various prices. Good luck!

If you're looking for comfortable, but appropriate shoes, I suggest you check out the Naturalizer brand.

In addition to the other good recommendations here, I would check out footwear brands such as Alegria and Clarks, for some extra flair to go with your fashion. They also have good arch and other support, like Dansko and Birkenstock do.

Have fun at the upcoming wedding, and hugs to you as well. 8-)
