I was regaling some old memories with friends today and wondered if anyone else here is old enough to remember in the 1950's when there used to be x-ray machines (I kid you not!) in shoe stores so you could x-ray your feet in shoes to see how the shoes fit and if your toes were crowded? You just put your feet in the designated spot, looked through a viewer, flipped a switch, and got a fluoroscopic view of your feet! We kids thought it was great fun and played with the machines the whole time we were in the store. There was no supervision or limitation whatsoever. It's a wonder we aren't all DEAD!
