I just got off the phone with my sister inlaw (my husbands sister).
She has been battling depression for years.
It all began 20 years ago when she and my husband lost a sister. She was murdered by her husband.
Things were better for awhile and she and her husband adopted a 6 yr. old girl through DSS.
They have had nothing but trouble with her. She is now 21 having her second child. My sisterinlaw and her husband have custody of the 1st child. He is 4 1/2. She married the father of the baby she is carrying and went with him to Alaska. He is in the Army.
She lasted there about 2 weeks.
Now living back with my sisterinlaw and her husband and the 4 1/2 year old. She is very disrespectful to them and the house is lke a zoo !
My brotherinlaw is on unemployment and it runs out in June. They are in danger of losing their house to foreclosure.
To top it off my mother in law has Alzheimers and is almost ready for a nursing home.
To get to the point. She has tried numerous anti depressants and has not had much luck.
She see a therapist but, does not find it helpful. Her doctor has recommeded shock treatment.
Does anyone know anything about it?
