Shipping, oh my!

Ordered from QVC Sunday, makeup. As of Thursday, still not here. I live on the east coast and one of QVC's disstribution centers is an hour away. Ordered from Amazon on Monday, at my door on Wednesday , a book. Now, what is the deal on that?
