Shipping costs. Why is it....

Why is it I can buy a $30 pair of earrings from Overstock and pay ZERO shipping, while the same earrings from QVC would incur a $6 (MINIMUM) shipping charge?

Maybe the real question is, why would I buy ANYTHING from QVC?

I did recently pick up a D&C white shirt on clearance that didn't run more than $10 or so and I STILL got hit with full shipping charges.
