Shipping charges

Just wondering if I'm the only one who thinks that shipping charges which are in excess of 30% of the actual price of the item is ludicrous??? I was just mooching around the new arrivals and saw numerous things where that was the case. I'm sorry but I personally cannot justify paying that high a percentage for shipping, especially when it's for regular shipping, not even expedited. Even if the item is 'cheap' (which seems to be less and less with the Q these days), the high shipping charges make it 'normal' price at best.

I know we all have options about where to shop or not shop, I just think it's a shame that the Q could be losing customers over the cost of something intangible and which isn't an intrinsic part of the value of the items they sell. Just MHO - would be interested to know what others think.
