I ordered 2 nail polishes from Nordstrom's . They were the same brand just different colors. They were shipped separately and I received them just a day apart. Now, each polish was shipped in a 12x12 box stuffed with brown paper( a lot of brown paper.) Then each was rolled in bubble wrap, which makes sense, then rolled in lots of plastic. I'm glad they arrived intact, but don't you think this was excessive wrapping ? I know it took up lots of room in my recycling bin.

Anytime I order makeup from Nordstrom it is always packaged like that. I do know when I order from other places i have had some arrive spilled or broken, so maybe the extra packing is needed to protect the bottles from the rough handling it has.

@Trailrun23 , I appreciate that the item was delivered intact. It just seems like overkill, but in the end it's no big deal.

Sadly, that's a waste of a lot of plastic and paper that will go in the landfill.
