Shipping Changes

[ Edited ]

Well this is a first for me.  I guess I pushed my luck. Got this today.

Aug 08, 2020, 22:19  Your package may be delayed. We are adjusting delivery plans.

Edited to add:  It is just 30 minutes from my house.  Smiley Sad

@grandma2pkmh

Nothing with QVC shipping surprises me anymore....hopefully they're not buying up horses to reinstate the 'pony express'.

I'm sorry that happened, because I understand how frustrating it might be for you.😞I feel bad for QVC also, because they are experiencing many order fulfillment, shipping and delivery woes beyond their control. I'm hopeful, because there have been several VERY positive posts regarding improved shipping and exemplary customer service lately,👍👍

Amazon has maintained it's efficient delivery system, with a few hiccups throughout the Pandemic, but they too, occasionally send delivery delay notifications. Usually the items are received in a few days, but I have had a few that required a refund.😊

I hope your delay will be a short one.🤞😊

@SandySparkles Twice in the last 7 months I've had delays from Amazon. Got a notice that it will be delivered by 8 p.m. tonight. I got it 24 hours later with no further updates.

Same thing happened a few months ago. Amazon is fine but they are NOT perfect.

Are you in an area affected by the hurricane?  Sounds like it might be weather-related.

@SandySparkles    I'd say Az has more than a few hiccups.  My packages often go through Tolleson, Az, then they're often off to God-only-knows where.  After 4-5 days someone will notice and I eventually get it.

@Kachina624   No weather not a problem.  It went from Lancaster, PA to Bridgeport, NJ then to Morrow, GA all within 3 days and there she sitsSmiley Surprised

@Kachina624  Wow! That's so unfortunate.😐 I live in a suburb next door to the suburb where Amazon began, and we have many warehouses and hubs here in our state. As obvious as that notion is, now that I think about it, I'd never considered why we have fewer delays. I really thought they had similar efficiency nationwide.😊

I belong to Amazon Prime. I can't tell you  how often during the beginning of this pandemic that they did NOT ship within 2 days. And I'm still getting a few items that are "late" in delivery.
