I waited in triple degree temperatures for Lindsay's school bus and when it arrived she wasn't on it. Never mind the perspiration running down my face and the rest of my body, my heart almost stopped beating. The driver said she didn't get on the bus. My daughter was on her way home from work so I called her and of course she panicked so I calmed her down and told her to call the school. Evidently there was a mix up in communication which I certainly want to find out about - This is the third day of her new charter school so I understand there will be cliches but omg, please make sure the children get on the bus home. Lindsay is 8 years old and in the third grade and has a cell phone which of course is turned off during school hours and she is supposed to turn it on when school lets out but I guess with all the confusion she didn't think about it.

Mom is picking her up so it all turned out well but I never want to experience something like that again.
