Some people don’t know how to lose gracefully. Didn’t she recently walk off without taking her second-place trophy when she wasn’t the winner?

I didn’t watch it but it’s sad when athletes behave this way.

Will admit though that tennis is such a mental sport, especially Singles. You can’t slump and rely on your partner or teammates to pick up the slack for you. You’ve got to pull yourself up and out, and it better be fast, or you’ll find yourself behind by a set in no time.

Daisy: No she did not as was rehashed several months ago.  The officials rushed her to the post-game interview and other officials retrieved her award and personal belongings, e.g. rackets.

It's a shame that the awesome play and win of Naomi is being overshadowed by Serena's behavior.

Exactly.  And by stealing the spotlight from the victor, she only showcases her own narcissism.

I'm so happy for Naomi Osaka - what a great champion! I hope she wins a few more next year. I hope the media will just let Naomi enjoy her much deserved win.

@@songbird  I remember that incident.   She said to an umpire that she wanted to kill her.      Surprised she wasn't banned after that.   And some complain about the men swearing... What is worse???

It's a bad sign for women's "equality" when all she's proving is that she's as classless as a McEnroe.
