It looks like we have had different experiences. In one of my first few orders with QVC (I believe early 1990s), an order for multiple items was shipped in separate packages. I returned several items in one package (matching my order), and only received credit for one. I called customer service and was told I could only return items in one package if they were sent to me in one package, in other words, the returns would have to match QVC's packaging to me. They did ask me what items I returned and gave me credit for all of them. They told me not to do that again. I only learned I could return in one package items sent to me in different packages a few years ago, I believe from the mods on this board.
@NYCLatinaMe Times have changed. I often return multiple items in the same packages, as long as they're all in the same category like clothing. The rule, as has been stated by the mods, is that a second item rides free with no charge for return shipping. Beyond that, you're supposed to be charged for each item.
I don't recall ever not returning multiple items in one package. I question the policy that a CS rep gave you. So many if them don't know what they're talking about.
I don't blame the person who spoke to me for giving me bad info, since the reason I spoke to her at all was that I only received credit for one item, when I was returning several.
You have mentioned you typically shop one item at a time, so probably have not faced this issue.
I usually shop multiple items at a time.

Never did figure out why I was charged two separate shipping charges when I ordered two of the same mascaras at one time. They both were in the same package when they arrived.

Amazon, Shophq and HSN do that. Hopefully QVC is doing it now. One box is so much better than 4 or 5 plastic bags.

@Trailrun23 @You were charged for each because QVC doesn't do the two items for one shipping charge anymore, unless it's for items sold as a set,

i have been getting multiple items in a box or bag for YEARS now. i prefer it that way actually.
i also ship items back in one box, use one return label, and pay for one return fee. that has been standard for a long time now. customer service has confirmed and the social team has confirmed. i use the qvc easy returns feature and let them know what is in the box that is coming back. refunds in 3 -5 days usually.
