My small town had a parade of high school seniors yesterday ! They were in cars decorated for the occasion, and folks came out to cheer them on. It was a specific route and only for an hour , but it was fun and another reason that I love a small town ! Good luck to graduates everywhere !

So fun! I live in a big city and we have the same graduation parades within different neighborhoods. They became a thing during Covid restrictions when schools were creating alternate ways to celebrate and now some schools have kept it as part of the traditional celebration. One of the good things that came out of that time. Where I live these parades are planned events and parade routes are posted on social media.

That's a good, fun activity for the seniors to celebrate and let off steam in a positive way.

Congratulations to the seniors! I don't know what is going on in my head these days. My first thought reading the title of this post was senior citizens lol!

That's so nice! The elementary school where I taught for many years (and still sub) always had a day toward the end of the year when all the seniors who went to our school came and walked the halls in their caps and gowns. We would bring the elementary students out to line the halls and applaud for them. It was always fun. It went away with Covid and they never brought it back, but they should.

I also live in a small town and we have them every year as well. It's usually Downtown which is three blocks from my house.
