I just saw the kid's mom on TV, being interviewed.  Apparently the boy spent three days in jail.  He also has academic and football scholarships that could now be in jeopardy.

GOOD that he did jail time. Hopefully, he will NOT get either scholarship. He has to learn that there are CONSEQUENCES for his actions.

@layla2450   He wasn't the only one playing this game.  You should want everyone involved in the game to be arrested, not just one participant.

Not everyone playing the game was using a water gun that was intended to look real.  Nor was every participant causing fear near the entrance of a business.

Re: Senior Assassin “Game”

Right making guns illegal prevents gun violence.  Sure it does.  Do we need to look at the cities/states with gun laws and their stats.

DC was one - until we increased law enforcement - which is what really brings down gun violence.

And as to kids - remember the 13 and 15 year old girls in DC who killed a man with a taser during a car jacking.  And yes I also remember the outcry when they were initially charged with murder - oh they are just kids - this will ruin their lives.  They shouldn't be charged with anything - just give them counseling.

And again, the very same people that scream about how this kid with the realistic looking water gun facing ANY consequences - even losing his scholarship - is terrible -would insist on maximum sentencing for a cop that shot him had he pointed that gun at the cop.
