Sending cards to co-workers - but no mention, what do you think?

I sent Christmas cards to several ladies that I work with - very nice cards with written notes. While I don't really feel that it's necessary for people to call you up, etc. and thank you every time you send them a card, I just think it's a little rude that none of them has even made a comment about them at all. I see these people every day, so it's not like the would have to make a special trip or phone call, etc., and I didn't really expect everyone to gush, but don't you think that's a little --- well, as I said, rude? Thanks.
