Ebay now requires sellers to link a checking account in order to receive payments. Thought you should know since some people aren't comfortable with that.
When this happened I thought I could use my Paypal account, but they now want a checking account. So, I opened a second account that is just for Ebay sales and purchases. I wouldn't give them my personal checking account that I pay my bills from.

I sold a lot of stuff on Ebay , mostly clothing and shoes that I had purchased from QVC . After a while the shoppers remember what you usually sell and keep coming back to see what you have . I sold lots of Quacker Factory clothing and Birkenstock shoes . I still have a lot left , I bought way too much of that stuff . It was nice to get some money back on them . What you need is an account on Ebay , shipping boxes and padded envelopes are free from the usps . Go on line to order, you'll need an account there too . Then you will need a small scale, like a kitchen scale , packing tape , l use the clear stuff , and l use white tissue paper to wrap the item in , then place it in a plastic bag, before putting it in the box or bag . You can get it mostly ready before putting it up for sale , then you know exactly what the postage will be . I usually charged the postage to the buyer. You can do actual postage to their address or just use what comes up when you weigh it . Sometimes that's not good , though , for instance, a buyer from the coast as California has a much higher shipping rate than if it were in the middle states .I just printed the postage sticker right on my printer off EBay . It's really easy . I kept my supplies in a large basket , including an iron, bags etc . I almost forgot , you have to take pictures , more is better and, make a written description including size measurements etc .

Clearly you have a lot of experience with Ebay .... isn't is great when something you really wanted to sell actually sells? LOL
Since you have such good insights in how Ebay operates, I wonder if you have any idea as to what this is about .... I live in Southern CA, Pacific time, and mid and eastern time zones mean it's later there than it is at my house.
Not to go OT ..... but ..... For some weird reason, regardless of what I am selling, well over three quarters of my buyers are on the east coast.
Higher postage than selling something to someone in Oregon, that's for sure. Is the east coast filled with insomniacs? For the life of me, I can't determine what this could be about. Any theories?

I have had very negative interactions. And I just quit. One gal did not know her address and the package came back more than once. Another time someone accused me of sending the wrong item. I kept pictures of what I sold and always added it to the package along with the actual ad. Easy to prove. All they wanted was FREE.
And then there was an item I bid on. A postcard. Something nobody else could possibly want. I was set up. A partner to the seller outbid me. At the time I did not know this until I decided to up the bid and I won. Yeah right. The person bidding aganst me was the one who mailed it to me. Easy to spot after the fact.
