I've got a migraine today and am not at my best. I did the quick glance at the thread title thing and thought it said "seeing less and less Northern LIGHTS" and thought it was going to be a thread about that.

Time for me to go go to bed, LOL.

@gidgetgh ~ that's what I read, until I did a double take!  I live in AK, and saw them from the back deck of home last winter.  They were a bit faint because of the lights, but still beautiful to see.  My son had visitors from Austrailia and to see the northern lights was the top of ttheir list.  He took them to Fairbanks and unfortunately,

not to be seen at that time.  Go figure....

Re: Seeing less and less Northern Nights.......

Ok folks.....think it is time for me to check out now.  It has been a long busy day for me....  Not just on the boards, but here at home as well and then going to go get my new glasses.

Am tired, but want to play a few games before I turn in.

Sweet dreams everyone......

Linda Davies who presented Liz C was supposed to be the new rep for NN. And the story was that this house brand would be completely redesigned. Winter is their biggest selling season with blankets and comforters. So far this line has shown very little product. I wonder if it even has a future.

Does make you wonder if they are just in a transition sort of thing with merchandise, or what. Because I don't think Linda would have taken the line or they would have transferred her to doing it, if it were simply going to disappear.

Re: Seeing less and less Northern Nights.......

My mom discovered QVC and was a big buyer of NN sheets way back at least 15 years ago. She had the prettiest and best quality sheets, and still is using some of them.

When I finally just got on the bandwagon, I got some great NN flannel sheets in particular that I've had for at least a decade, and they are still wonderful.

The problem is that the newer things from them I tried (and that has been like five years ago) were simply junk. Elastic was gone after a year, sheets barely fit an old 'skinny' mattress.

I'm done with NN, just like I am with Cooks Essentials. It just isn't worth my effort anymore to have to box the stuff up and sent back, or be disappointed after the return policy expires.

Re: Seeing less and less Northern Nights.......

DH and I were gifted NN sheet set for Christmas and I had to return them to a family member who bought them because the elastic fell apart when I took them out of the dryer (on low heat). I told her not to bother replacing them.

@AKgirl2- my sister just got home from a trip to Scandanavia.  On the agenda, was a dogsled ride in Northern Sweden to see (hopefully) the Northern Lights).  She said that it was a little cloudy the night they went, but they were able to see some.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
