I received the Pfizer vaccine and my second dose is scheduled 19 days after my first.

I'm so glad to see these personal experiences with less than 21 day intervals!

@Mmsfoxxie wrote:I had my first vaccination yesterday and things went fine until I was given an appointment for March 22nd for the second dose. I said to the scheduler that I thought it was supposed to be 21 days later. She said the vaccination could be valid four days earlier as well as a week or so later than 21 days. So I accepted the appointment but after googling, I only saw this said about twice so I'm not feeling comfortable about 17 days....four days early.
Anybody get their second dose after 17 days or know anyone that did?
By the way, I had a bad headache all night and still feel weird this morning. Maybe I shouldn't have but I took ibuprofen after trying to ignore it but gave in.
DH and i got first shot on 2/24 and second shot is not until 3/25
yet my sister in law and brother in law went three days after and are getting the second on
Sorry 3/17/2021 not 3/19/21

I go today at 10AM for my second Pfizer shot. It has been just about one month since my first shot.

I took my mum for her first Pfizer jab Thursday. They automatically wanted to schedule the 2nd for 3 weeks later on the 25th. She couldn't do that as I have to work and cannot take her then. After a bit of a fuss they scheduled it for the 23rd.

I personally would not have an issue with a few days either way. I am sure it will be just as effective...not just the exact protocol followed in the trial.
I would be more concerned with a delay of many, many weeks...that the initial protection might be wearing off.

Ours is only 17 days apart as well, receiving the first one March 2 and second scheduled for March 19. I did question this as well and the nurse said four days before is fine.
I too do not feel that comfortable with this since I read that it could be less effective receiving too soon.

We got our 2nd Pfizer yesterday, exactly 21 days after our 1st shot. I thought that was the standard with Pfizer. My brother-in-law got his 1st Moderna a week ago yesterday, and his 2nd is scheduled for 1 month.

@MarthaStewardess, ok....that's 19 days. I wonder why this is never mentioned in the news.
Good luck to your mom!

@hckynut , Yeah, it is the standard time frame. Apparently, it's ok to deviate a few days earlier or later, unbeknownst to most of us.
