School started in Arizona three weeks ago. Sometime in July for some kids. They don't get three months off like we did anymore. Instead they seem to get a day off just about every week plus fall break, winter break, spring break and who knows what else. Thus they go back in July and get out in May.

@Mellie32, I hope you knock it out quickly. Never fun to work when you don't feel well but especially when you are involved with young students, just no time to feel under the weather - too much to do!
Get well fast! And have a great school year! ![]()

I'm sorry that you feel like crud.
I, too am getting over a cold.
I had swollen tonsils for about a day, sneezing, stuffy and runny nose, chest congestion, headache, and lots and lots of coughing.
I saw a doctor today, who gave me an in office nebulizer treatment, and gave me a script for albuterol and a seven day course of Prednisone, to clear up my lungs and get rid of my wheezing.
Drink plenty of fluids, eat chicken soup, and get plenty of rest, and feel better soon!

Schools in my area of West Virginia opened this week. Local teachers support starting the school year much earlier in August, and being done by early June.
Starting the school year early makes it easier to cope with the very high number of snow days missed in January, February, and March.
Students were in the classroom until June 22nd in 2015, due to the snow days that had to be made up to reach the required number of instructional days. NO ONE wants to do that again!
