Scholarships help needed

I have read and read and I am still confused. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

OK, my son is in his first year at community college which he will attend for 2 years, then transfer to a State University for 2 more years.

Community college has not costed much so we have not applied, I figured they don't offer scholarships for that anyway, but then someone told me they did.

Can we apply now in the middle of the year?

Can we apply to get help for when he goes to the University (that costs more) even though that is 1 1/2 years away?

He lives at home.

I need any and all advice...thanks!
