Scar Strips. It's a No.

[ Edited ]

You ladies suggested Scar Away for my chest scar.  First, I find it incredibly hard to remove (from the non stick paper)  and keep the product from sticking to it's self making it useless.  When I can apply it, it won't stay stuck.  Yes, I know the area has to be clean and dry.  So I tried another brand, Nuvadermis.  It wouldn't stay on either.  Maybe it's the area that is causing a problem.  So back to Mederma.  I feel that it helped my knee scars.  I also apply my nighttime skincare products to it.

@monicakm.  I use some Lidocaine pads that don't stick very well so I add a couple strips of paper tape to hold them on.

I didn't think of that.  If you were my husband, I'd say, "See?  That's why I keep you around" LOL  Thanks!  He's a master problem solver.

@monicakm  I have tried those scar strips also. I agree they are very difficult to peel off the plastic and they do not stick well. I had tried them in my foot. Waste of time.

My surgeon told me to skip the scar strips and moisterizers and instead to wear scarves for 6 months to keep sun off the skin.

I am a cave dweller. That advice is probably good for most people tho but wouldn't apply to me. I already stay out of the 🌞 so I'll do all three and stick with the skin care and Maderma
