I had a similar thing happen with Aetna calling me. I have my prescription coverage through them.  I called Aetna to make sure all was well with my insurance and she said it was actually a valid Aetna number.

@SharkE  No, I took what you wrote at face value.  What the hel* do I know?  I don't answer my phone unless I know who it is calling me.  I thought maybe robots were calling us do-da.  I'm serious as a heart attack here.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

yeah, these scammers are smart. They call thru somehow on that valid number, but, it's not legit.

Only reason they would contact me would be to tell me my drug plan was increasing LOL I'm not on anything anyway just have to have the cheapest plan to satisfy Uncle Sam.  This number was a VOIP #

Like I say when I get an answer from the REAL Humana I will let U all know

Re: Scam warning (again)

[ Edited ]

Someone from my own cell phone number called me (on my cell phone)...........

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I do not respond verbally to any answered call that immediately questions me, requiring me to answer "yes" or "okay", in light of the scam where your voice is recorded and played back as your confirmation to agreeing to something that is going to cost you $$$.

I have received some really sneaky phone calls lately. It really disturbs me that so many groups are doing this. I often get 7 or 8 bogus calls per day. Some call daily and now there is one that called twice today. Some are using some really sneaky tactics, too. I don't feel like the phone is mine anymore, since I have so little control over it.
