Why is it that in our society today we seem to accept that you can do just about anything and when you get caught you just say your sorry - weather you are or not - sincerity doesn't seem to matter - and then everything is ok, hunkey doorey. My Mother taught us that we should not do things that will need to be apologised for and if we did then the apology would need to be sincere and even though we apologised there would still be punishment - that is the consequence of our actions. we have a new car, a cadillac, that we are very happy about. my Dh saved forever to have a good enough down payment so he could have a caddy in his retirement. Yesterday a young lady at the grocery store whacked the door with her door and chipped the paint while he was sitting in the car waiting for me.He asked her for her insurance info etc but she didn't want to turn it in to them so he just took her name and number. Now today she has called to apologise and beg him not to make her pay for it because she is sorry.

Now I know the mean girls will rag on me for being so tight with my money but really now - she was not careful and she needs to pay for this. She almost has my hubby convinced to let her off the hook, even though it will probably need the whole door painted.I don't think she is exactly poor - she had a pretty new Impala.
