Love people so much that you will do all that you can to lessen their human

sorrows. Lord, You have shown Your love for me. May I now radiate

Your presence to others.

Scripture for the day:

"A lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him. 'Teacher, which commandment

in the law is the greatest?' He said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your

God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You

shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all

the law and the prophets." ~Matthew 22:35-40

Meditation for the day:

God has a plan for the world we live in. God's design for the world is a

universal fellowship of men and women, guided by God. The plan for our

lives is also in the mind of God. In times of quiet meditation we can seek

God's guidance, for the revealing of God's plan for our day. Then we can

live this day according to God's guidance. Many of us are not making of our

lives what God means them to be, and so we are unhappy. We can miss the

God's plan for our lives.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may try to follow God's design for today. I pray that I may

live my life today consistent with God's plan.

Hello my friends! Today I was blessed by spending quality time with Sammy, and he's taking it all in - proudly! He likes to lay on the floor so much, so I laid on the living room carpet, and he came by me and tipped over on his back for me to rub his belly and cuddle. He likes that. This morning when Linus picked him up after Mass, somehow his leg leaned against his (Linus') chest and he squealed in pain - so we felt so bad for him, and since then, he seems better now - at the time I wondered if I needed to give him more dosage of his Dasuquin (Glucosamine and Chondroitin), since he's off the steroids now for a few days. But we'll wait and see - if he's not getting better, I'm calling the vet. He's been on this Dasuquin a couple of months now but with the steroids. I've read on the net how dogs on this have become like new again, and so there's hope for Sammy. He's such a sweetie and so patient with us. He seems to like the snow and even lays down in it sometimes. Weird! Sammy is 8 years old - lots of years left in him, we hope! Our other dog, Ashley lived to be 14. She was a white peekapoo, another precious dog! We did not get these from a shelter, but from a home who had puppies and we picked them out and got them when they were 7 weeks old. Met the parents of the puppies.

Lori got hers from the humane society. Another blessing today was that one of my sisters called me, said she saw Erma this morning and she seemed better and was on her way to PT and was told she could go along to be with her there so she did. That was good news to hear. Then - I didn't have to cook tonight - he worked, and wanted to go out to a fish fry at the VFW so we did - lots and lots of blessings we receive daily, isn't there? This is just a few for today that I posted. What are yours? Praying for you all and thanks for your prayers for us. God bless you!

WHEN I FORGET TO PRAY

Sometimes when things are going great I forget to Pray

Then in darkness I stumble and lose my way.

I open a closet where I have tucked Jesus in

I have to ask for Guidance to find my way Again

Once More a light begins to shine

I find Peace and Contentment in this troubled Life of Mine

He says My Child did you forget I am always here for you

To help with the bad times you go through

I am The Alpha and Omega The Beginning and The End

Child, I will not Forsake You, I am Your Best Friend.

Remember when you feel forsaken and you lose your way.

Just Bow Your Head and Open Up Your Heart

Don't Forget To Pray!

written by Rose Ballard

A woman once fretted over the usefulness of her life. She feared she was wasting her potential being a devoted wife and mother.

She wondered if the time and energy she invested in her husband, and children would make a difference.

At times she got discouraged because so much of what she did seemed to go unnoticed and unappreciated.

"Is it worth it?" she often wondered. Is there something better I could be doing with my time? It was during these moments of questioning that she heard the still small voice of the Father speak to her heart:

"You are a wife and mother because that is what I called you to be. Much of what you do is hidden from the public eye. But I notice.

Much of what you do is without remuneration. But I am your reward. Your husband cannot be the man I have called him to be without your support. Your influence upon him is greater than you will ever know. I bless him through your service and honor him through your love,

Your children are precious to me. Even more precious than they are to you. I have entrusted them into your care to raise for me.

What you invest in them is an offering to me true, You may never be in the public spotlight. But your obedience shines as a bright light before me. Continue on. Remember, you are my servant.

MOST LOVABLE LADY

I love thee, most lovable Lady, By the love which I bear thee, I promise ever to serve thee,

and to do as much as I can, that thou be loved by others also. I put all my hopes in thee,

all my salvation. Receive me as thy servant and cover me with the mantle of thy protection,

thou the Mother of mercy!

Mother Teresa Said...

Faith is a gift from God.

When God comes to you or you go to God, then you will have the chance to accept Him or reject Him.

Accepting Him is the gift of faith.
