They are wise who depend on God. Lord, Your perfect law revives my soul.
Keeping Your law makes me rich.

"No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a
bed, but puts it on a lamp stand, so that those who enter may see the
light." The glory of the Lord shines in the beauty of our character. It
is risen in us, even though we can realize it only in part. "Now you
see as in a glass darkly, but later we will see face to face." The
glory of the Lord is too dazzling for mortals to see fully on earth.
But some of God's glory is risen in us when we try to reflect that light
in our lives.

I pray that I may try to be a reflection of God's light. I pray that
some of its rays may shine in my life.

Hello my friends! Tonight Ollie graduated from his puppy training and we
registered him for intermediate now that starts Sept. 10th. It's fun to see
all the improvements! Lori had supper with us - Linus made some ribs on the
grill - they were thin and grilled well and very tasty. I made a good
salad - and everything was filling. Ollie had to play ball some more, but
he gives me the ball and let's me have it easily so I can throw it for him.
He's obsessed! No other toy measures to a tennis ball! So glad he's well
again after last night having to go to Emergency Vet. Another blessing
today was another visiting chat on Facebook with Darla - once she's at
school, she won't have time for that anymore. We had another beautiful day
here today! Another nice time in our Patio! We say our Rosary there and
it's so nice! I like to put the yard light on, and see out! It's so pretty
and meditative. Linus has to work all weekend, but after that his schedule
is lighter. Tomorrow I will harvest Kale and Parsley - I picked another new
batch of lettuce today and had some for supper. Need to pick some beans,
tomatoes, red and orange peppers tomorrow, and need to freeze raspberries.
That should keep me busy! Praying for all your needs, and thanks for your
prayers for us.

When the world falls down around you
And a prayer will see you through,
Say an extra prayer for someone
Who may need it more than you.
For who knows what hearts are breaking
In the silence of the night?
Just that extra prayer you whisper
May help someone see the light!
Every time you help a stranger
With an extra prayer - or two -
You are building secret blessings
That will all come back to you!

A Man Was Born

2000 Years ago there was a man born contrary to the laws of nature.

This man was reared in obscurity. Earthly riches were no important to him.

He did not travel extensively, only once did he cross the boundary of the
country in which he lived and that was during his exile in childhood to
Egypt.

In infancy he startled a King; In childhood he amazed Jewish leaders; In
manhood he ruled the course of nature, walking upon the billows (swell of
water) as if pavement. He hushed the sea to sleep.

He healed multitudes without medicine and made no charge for his service.
He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries of the country could not
hold the books that have been written about Him. He never wrote a song, and
yet he has furnished for more songs than all the songwriters combined.

He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of
having as many students.

He never practised psychiatry and yet he has healed more broken hearts than
all the doctors far and near.

Names of great scientists, philosophers, and theologians have come and gone;
but the name of this man abounds more and more. Herod the Great could not
destroy Him and the grave could not hold him. His name stands highest of
heavenly glory, acknowledged by angels and feared by devils.

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you upon
the altar to make atonement for your souls; For it is the blood that maketh
an atonement for the soul" as the living personal Christ, the messiah and
saviour, the redeemer of man. Here is God's appointed sacrifice for sins.

Long ago God's divine principle was established, that "without shedding of
blood there is no remission."

Today, God, in wondrous love tells us, "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son,
cleanseth us from all sin."

Jesus is the only one that has fulfilled all of the scriptures regarding
Messiah's birth, Ministry, Death and Resurrection. There are over 300
prophetic scriptures in the old testament concerning Messiah's incarnation.
Jesus fulfilled them all.

Great is the mystery of Godliness, God was manifest in the flesh in order
that he might die for you.

He came to earth but was rejected by the people as their King at that time.
He is going to come to this earth again and then he will be accepted as not
only the King of the Jews, but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Time here on earth is short. Eternity is forever. Soon Jesus will return
to claim his believers; I know I will be one of them because I said a
simple prayer from my heart.

The bible says when you ask for forgiveness and express your knowledge that
Jesus is your savior, the angels rejoice...

Live a Life that Matters

Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to
someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally
disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you
lived, at the end.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.
So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you
got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice
that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a
lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those
who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of
circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.

PERSPECTIVES!

One day, a financially comfortable father decided to take his son to
the country, with the purpose of showing him how poor people live, and
that the son could understand the value of things, and realize how
fortunate they were.

They stayed overnight at a very humble family's farm for 1 day and 1
night. As the trip ended, and during their return home, the father
asks his son:

So what did you think of the trip?

It was great, dad!

Did you see how poor and needy some people have to live?

Yes!

And what did you learn?

I saw that we have one dog in the house, but they have four. We have a
huge swimming pool, but they have a river that never ever ends. We
have imported lamps in the patio, they have the stars. Our backyard
ends at the fence, but theirs goes on and on into the horizon.
Especially though, dad, I saw that they have time to talk to each
other and live as a family. You and Mom have to work all day, and I
hardly see you both!

As the conversation ended, the father remained silent, and his son
added: Thanks Dad, for showing me how rich we could be!!

Mother Teresa Said...

"To children and to the poor, to all those who suffer and are lonely --
give them always a happy smile, give them not only your care
but also your heart."
