You can become more peaceful and a more interesting person by having
a healthy attitude and accepting your responsibilities. Lord, help me to
remember that life is what we make of it.

Scripture for the day:

"Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
~Matthew 18:20

Meditation for the day:

Wherever there is true fellowship and love between people, God's
spirit is always there, as the divine third. In all human
relationships God's spirit is what brings them together. When a life
is changed through the channel of another person, it is God, the
divine third who always makes the change using the person as a means.
The moving power behind all spiritual things, all personal
relationships between people is God, the divine third, who is always
present. No personal relationships can be entirely right without the
presence of God's spirit.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may be used as a channel by God's spirit. I pray that I
may know that God is always there to help me.

Hello my friends! One blessing today was when I got a call from Corporate
Office and trying to help me. She needs someone even more experienced than
she is, and said I'll be getting a call on Monday. Well, for a while, I saw
a sign on the site saying they are closed for temporary, but even with that,
I got to sign in, see all the responses, and I replied to you all on the
thread. Guess what? It didn't post. But at that time everything seemed
perfect again. Then I went back on again, and couldn't get in. Just says
connecting, and that's how it is now too. So I send this with Juanita with
hopes that she can get in yet tonight. Talk about weird!!! Another
blessing - my dear husband took me out on a date tonight for a drink and
supper - I had shrimp which I have so seldom, was good! It was happy hour
so the drinks were half price - $2.50 a drink. God has given us so many
blessings - it's hard to count them all. One today, my husband got Lori's
front deck all finished with his brothers, Ron and David. Ron's the one who
had a stroke and I'm asking you all to keep him in prayer. He sees his
doctor next week. He's going to try to talk him into driving again - he's
not supposed to drive for three months. Seeing him and talking to him,
you'd never know he had that scare!! Lori says that her porch is better
than she ever expected, she is so happy with it. Sammy is not doing any
better. Please do keep him in prayer, he's not wanting to eat anything
where his little pills are in, at 3 I had the hardest time to get some med.
down him, and don't know if I even succeeded. He has to take an antibiotic
every 8 hours for 10 days. Another pill once a day. He has fluid in his
elbow, and it could be yet from when he was positive with Lymes's disease
years back. I'm so worried about him!!! He's sure not himself. If he's
not better by Monday, they'll put him on steroids. Now is that good or bad?
I don't know. Praying for all of you for all your intentions and thanks
for your prayers for us.

jOB INTERVIEW

“…the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all
things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” – John 14:26

I really, really wanted the job. I had been through one exam and three
interviews, and I still had no idea if I got the job already. My friends who
were already working in the company told me that I would not go through that
many interviews unless they had plans of hiring me. But who knows, right?
The night after my third interview, I got another call from the company. But
I did not know if it was another interview or a job offer because I didn’t
hear it well. It turned out to be another interview, which I learned when I
reported to their office the next day. Another one? I thought, suddenly
feeling nervous. And it was with the bosses from the USA! What if they don’t
like me?
As I watched the first guy go to the phone to get interviewed, I sat on my
chair, worried. But a calming voice whispered, “Do not worry! You know what
to say. I have given you everything you need.” I felt peace in my heart as I
waited for my turn. A few minutes later, I was done. Not only did I answer
correctly, I was called the next day for the job!Tina Matanguihan

REFLECTION:
God has given you everything you need for the moment, and He has sent the
Holy Spirit to remind you of it. Don’t worry!

Holy Spirit, please always remind me of God’s teachings.

Here's an oldie but goodie:

A two minute read.......
Read this story, and follow the recommendation at the end...

As I was walking down life's
highway many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store.
When I got a little closer
the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket and said
"My child shop with care."
Everything a human needed
was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
you could come back for more
First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom
and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course
I would need some of that too.
I couldn't miss Some Faith
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength
and Courage to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full
but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for
Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do
for you and me.
Then I started to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
to do the Masters will.
As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful,
the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near
so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel
"Now how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said
"Just take them everywhere you go."
Again I asked "Really now,
How much do I owe?"
"My child" he said, "God paid your bill
a long long time ago."

Why Are You Angry?

Anger is about the silliest thing that we let ourselves fall into. It is
also the bitterest root in our heart. If we truly look into our heart most
of the time that anger is out of jealousy because someone else was righteous
and we fell short. Just as God asked Cain, "If you do what is right, will
you not be accepted." Cain was angry out of his own guilt. Sometimes we use
anger to make others pay for what we have done or failed to do.

Gen 4:6-7

6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do
what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but
you must master it."

* We are not thankful for what we have until we are willing to give it away
to someone that needs it more than we do.

Thought for the Day:
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to
criticism.

LIFE IS AN ECHO
Author Unknown

A son and his father were walking in the mountains. Suddenly, his son
falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh! !!"

To his surprise, hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:
"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh! !!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"

He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"

He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"

The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he
screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"

The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"

The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father
explains: "People call this echo, but really this is life. It gives
you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of
our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in
your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your
competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspect of life; life
will give you back everything you have given to it."
