How are things going there for you?

My daughter voluntarily evacuated  last week but had to go back today to take care of some work and personal matters.

I heard the winds shifted and the fire is raging.

I know that this probably affects @hennypenny the most, but if anyone else has the latest news, please share!

My son, DIL and grandson are with friends in Cambria to get a break from the smoke☹️

He said he could see fire this afternoon.

My daughter said she could see flames from her balcony!   She's going to LA tomorrow, then I hope she evacuates again.  Her pet is here with me, so if she has to go directly from there to my house....no need for her to go back to her apartment.

Re: Santa Barbara area posters

Just a quick note. under mandatory evacuation for over a week.

Our house was saved. But what a mess. black soot all over everything.

just got home with the cats. and are trying to find clean places to put things.

need a service to come help, but so do the thousands of others evacuated.

Thanks for the good thoughts, will post more later or toomorrow.

@hennypenny

Try ServePro, I am sure they are inundated but hopefully they can handle the demand

I hope you can get your house back to normal quickly, @hennypenny.  The cats must be happy to be back home.

l’m on my way to SB right now for Christmas.  My DIL says the air is much better.

Oh, @hennypenny, I am sorry.  The house has been spared but this can't be easy.

Hi @hennypenny I didn't see your post today so I sent you an email. I don't know if you read it yet. Now I see your post, and I'm really glad to hear you're home. The holidays can wait. The most important thing is that you're all okay and the house survived the fire.

Take good care and write when you can. Hugs xoxox

Re: Santa Barbara area posters

I keep taking breaks, my hands are black.

Would be easier if we were younger.

I never want to see the inside of a hotel or motel ever again.
