I just got home from my appointment.  I would've been here much sooner, but mom had physical therapy at 1:30, so we stayed out until she was finished.

So far, the surgeon said things seem to be healing well.  She didn't remove any of the stitches though.  I was kinda glad.  She also decided against tightening the temporary implants yet as well since I'm still quite swollen.

I go back in three weeks for another checkup though.  This time, she'll probably tighten them up...I'm dreading that lol.

Im still taking antibiotics and ibuprofen.  I'm hopeful things will be okay.😃🙏🤞

I bet you are so glad to be home and have that done. I hope the healing continues! I'm sure it must seem so long. I would just keep getting shakes at McDonalds! 

I hope the pt is helping your mom  and her shoulder too!

Thank you.  I really appreciate you.  That's a good way to look at it too.  I was really scared beforehand...not really sure why?  But, I feel a lot better now.😃❤️❤️

Your support and saying that really means a lot to me....really.  I've been doing everything she's asked the best that I can.  Since I've been concerned about making sure I stay hydrated, I asked about the Biotene Dry Mouthwash today.  She said it was great to use.  I was glad because I have been for a few days lol.😃

@cheriere  That is great news, that the surgeon said  you are healing well.  That was quite an extensive surgery and I'm sure the swelling can take a while to go down.

   Do cold foods make it feel better? It is good that you are staying hydrated and following doctor's orders. I would probably be living on ice cream, one of my favorite foods.

  I hope that your mouth feels more comfortable soon.

   Today I posted a couple of salad recipes in the Recipe thread.

It will be quite a while before you could eat food like that, but

if they sound good to you, they may be something you would enjoy, when you are back to chewing again.
