Hi @shoekitty   Woman Happy

Im looking deeper into your recommended ORGAIN Protein on Amz.  Im always game for addt'l Protein powders, esp with No Refined Sugar.

Do you have any feedback on any of these ORGAIN the flavors you did/did not like?

It looks like it comes in Powder form & in liquid shake form.  Do you have any feedback on either?  Preferred?

TIA!  Woman Happy

@cheriere @spumoni99 @riley1 @LizzieInSRQ @Kachina624 + all:

Fabulous sharing community I have stumbled on!

@cheriere -- In another lifetime, having dropped out of college, I was a trained Dental Assistant (top of my class at Oakland College of Dental Medical Assistants). Not much enthusiasm in my family (who were loving) for me to finish college.

I did go back, got my BA, then my JD law, then an MA studying people, then the PhD, studying juries.

    Hope you had fabulous dental assistants through your dental choices. They are the gateway that makes a difference in how we experience dental work.

Everyone who recommended Premier Protein shakes!

Wow. Just what I needed. I have used Ensure, but it does have sugar and not that much protein in the original formula.

Went to Amazon and found Premier Protein.

Zillion reviews, lots of great info, 24 vitamins and minerals, 30g protein!

So many flavors, it was hard to decide.

Went with Strawberry Vanilla.

12 pack coming this AFTERNOON!

I am a slender person. Lost some weight this year, but low appetite.

This will help me keep my protein up, plus all the extras.

@cheriere and all her fabulous friends: you are a treasure!

@cheriere  That's a lot to go through. I'm sure you're glad that that part is over with. I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned drinking Boost (the nutritional supplement). Baby food is also an option (especially now). Hang in there! We were all thinking about you! 💖

@cheriere

Congratulations on taking care of getting your implants, and will be thinking of you and your progress Smiley Happy

If you like savory you may want to try Lono Life chicken, beef and other bone broths.  10 grams of collagen protein per packet, they are available on the Q, Amazon and some grocery stores.

Can't prove it but I believe drinking the bone broth that I drink often has brought stabilization to my bone density.

Ice cream is soft too lol

Re: 🦷 SURGERY UPDATE 🦷

@cheriere  You are so brave to have put yourself through that surgery. That was quite a long procedure. I am so glad to hear that all went well for you.

                   Your mouth must be so sore and I'm sure that eating cold foods and drinks are helping to ease the pain.

                    So many people here have given great suggestions for edible foods, to get you through this difficult time.

Three to six months is a long time, but with your positive attitude and determination, you will get through this.

                   With experimentation, I'm sure that you will discover some really delicious things to eat.

                  Here are a few things that I thought of:

          *      Mashed potatoes topped with pureed meat and broth,   so it's like potatoes with gravy.

          *     Soft scrambled eggs with cheese added.

          *     If you can find the little cans of Underwood Deviled Ham, they usually come wrapped in white paper, with the little red devil symbol. Some of that could be added to eggs.

         *     Split pea soup. Some pureed ham could be added to that.

         *    Butternut or other soft squash. Soft cooked mashed

carrrots.

         *     Very soft bananas in a milk shake or with peanut butter.

         *      Baked custard

         *      Take a ripe banana and cut into slices. Put slices on a plate or flat pan and freeze. No need to add anything else, just put frozen slices in blender to make banana ice cream.

         *      You could add your own pureed fruit or baby food fruits to plain yogurt or cottage cheese.

           Please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest and keep hydrated. I hope that each day you will feel a little better

and that this recovery time goes well for you.

Re: 🦷 SURGERY UPDATE 🦷

@cheriere

It's over! And you lived to tell about it! Yay!

I'm so sorry you are feeling bruised and beat up, but this too shall pass.

You will probably soon learn what foods you can eat and those you cannot. You've gotten lots of good suggestions. Here is another:

My husband makes a smoothie every morning consisting of:

Orgain or Garden of Life protein powder

Almond milk

A couple tablespoons of uncooked oats

A couple tablespoons of flax seeds

Chia seeds

A dollop of Greek yogurt

A couple tablespoons of peanut butter

He whips it all up in a Nutribullet blender with several ice cubes. (The seeds and oats are blended so I don't think it would be an issue.)

I hope you have a comfortable night's rest and feel better with each passing day!

@1Professor.  My favorite flavor of Premier drinks is Cafe Latte.   I've spent so much money on them that I recently decided to try the powder which comes to less $$$.  It mixes readily in my almond milk with a spoon.

I drink it because I don't eat enough protein.

Shoekitty said,   We love the chocolate. It is really good there is no artificial taste either.  There is 1gm sugar, 22 gms protien and 9 gms probotics fiber.  I am remembering this, I don't have the tub with me. It is one of the most popular protien shakes out there for health reasons. All food products, everything is plant based.  Now as I said they have a ORGAIN that is whey based and has some milk product in it. We do not like or buy that personally. Stomach issues. lol. Whey gives me gas BIGTIME.    I love the ready made serving cartons, Costco has those as well by the case. we do buy the large 64 oz chocolate one at Costco for 38.00. Amazon sells the smaller size for 28-30 bucks.  If you go online to Amazon you can read the label and decide if it's right for you.  Maybe you woukd want to try the smaller tub on Amazon, before buying the big one. If it was me, and I not feeling up to par, I would get the ready made shakes by the case.  I only like the chocolate myself
