SUNDAYS- Included in Lent or not?

My Priest says no..So does almost EVERY one else I know who is a Catholic...Also the matj excludes Sun.BUT....

My dad (he is very controlling anyway) says yes....

Input?

BTW- THIS year I have allowed myself to read and NOT log in which is WAY tougher than just avoiding the q...

Sundays in Lent are Free of abstaining days Sundays are a day of celebration. However in my family we do not reguard Sundays as a day off we keep what we have given up. Lent is about sacrifice
