Does anyone have information on what common rates are for College Students who earn money as tutors?
A friend of mine has a step-son, who will be a Senior in high school, in the Fall.
He's a great kid, who has had ADHD, most of his life. He's off medication and feels much better, but, he still has some struggles in school, still has some problems, mainly with focusing, concentration and comprehension of complex materials.
As a Senior, one class that he will be required to pass, for graduation, is a tough English class and his instructors have told my friend that they fear it's going to be hard for him.
He's going to be doing some Summer school, and she's wondering about hiring a College student, in the Fall, particularly, to help him with the English class.
They don't have money to hire expensive private tutors, but, If student tutors aren't too pricey, she's thinking that might be an option and he'd be more comfortable with someone close to his age, who has also recently studied the same type of subject matter.
Has anyone had experience using student tutors; prices, how did it work out, etc.
