Re: STOP playing these games, QVC!!!

@Happiness Is Inside JOB   Call and speak with a customer service rep.  I had the same experience with a $14 shipping cost on a Kitchenaid item that was credited because my order was in process and I couldn't cancel and the rep told me to call back once the item was shipped and they would credit back the shipping.

Just make sure to ask them to note your account so when you call after the item has shipped, it shows that you called during the "free shipping" window and your order was not yet shipped.  And write down the time you called and who you spoke with just in case.

I've done it several times and always have gotten the free shipping.

Why stop at free shipping.  I think all the merchandise should be FREE all the time, every day and they should switch out  ALL their merchandise weekly so that everything is new and fresh all the time.   Wouldn't that be lovely....  LOL

Re: STOP playing these games, QVC!!!

I ordered 2 clothings items on Saturday and paid $3.50 each for the s/h.

Today they are offering free s/h on all clothing. Am I going to call back and ask that my s/h be credited to me?  NO.  You know why?  Because when I placed my order on Saturday, it wasn't a free s/h event.  I could have waited to see if a free s/h event happened and possibly lost out on my items but I chose to place the order so oh well.   For the heck of it I did see about canceling my order and re-ordering with the free s/h but it says I cannot so that's my tough luck.

I don't think it's fair to contact QVC and expect a s/h refund on something ordered when there wasn't a free shipping event.  You win some you lose some.  It's no different than me buying chicken from the grocery store today and the ad coming out Wednesday and chicken is on sale.  Would I go back to the store and ask for a refund of the price difference?  No.

Re: STOP playing these games, QVC!!!

I will just be glad that my order will be arriving EDD 12-3 & 12-5, when I ordered it on Nov 7th.  (At least I hope this time is true).  Two items at $3.50 each for shipping, I know some merchants will adjust your order if they offer it on sale within a few days of buying, maybe Q will do it for shipping?  It's worth a shot!

Re: STOP playing these games, QVC!!!

I agree that they have started playing games.  In the past, for many, many years, if I purchased something at 10:00 p.m. one day and at 8:00 a.m. the next day they offered free shipping on the same item I would call and get a credit for the shipping.  I was told they could do that because I called within 24 hours.  They don't do that anymore.  Whatever is in effect at time of purchase is what you're stuck with.  Then today I saw something I never saw before on QVC.  There was a Lug wallet on clearance for $19.99.  In the description they give you the original Item Number and I always look there to see how much I'd be saving.  Today when I did that the wallet was $12.99 BUT at the top of the page it said there was no return or exchange.  When did this start?????  One of the good things about QVC was that you could do either of those things before, without question.  We, as consumers, need to be extra, extra vigilant of what QVC is doing before we make that purchase.  Their merger with HSN was the worst thing they could have ever done.  Instead of HSN rising to the level of QVC, QVC has sunk to the abismal level of HSN!  I find myself watching less and less and I especially hate all the prepared foods they push.  I've complained about this before but one of my fave shows has always been ITKWD but  when you turn on a 4 hour show and one hour is a special value like a vacuum cleaner, snow blower, or computer; two hours are food; and one hour is actual cooking items, it's a real stretch to call it a cooking show.  Reheating prepared food is NOT cooking!  OK, I'm done venting!

I agree with your last paragraph, however, QVC has refunded S&H in the past.  It's only recently that they stopped this.  Just another example of how they are tightening up on the policies that made them so good in the past.  This is just another example of how they are slowly going down hill.

Re: STOP playing these games, QVC!!!

Unfortunately I have had CS reps on the phone tell me they'll note my account about something only to find out later they didn,'t. This has happened way more than once.
