I came across this and had a few chuckles .... I remember my grandfather used a couple of these from time to time.

May be an image of text that says 'Some of the best words literally ever: Bamboozled Flabbergasted Discombobulated Shenanigans Cattywampus Lollygag Malarkey Kerfuffle Brouhaha Nincompoop Skedaddle Pumpernickel Doohickey Thingamajig Persnickety Whatsit Whatnot Whatchamacallit Gobsmacked Flummoxed Flibbertigibbet Dingleberry Tenterhooks Gobbledygook Poppycock Canoodle Whippersnapper Codswallop I challenge you to use at least 2-3 in a sentence.'

Re: SOME OF THE BEST WORDS EVER

These are good.  Judge Judy uses "kerfuffle" a lot.  And I use "discombobulated" from time to time.

Re: SOME OF THE BEST WORDS EVER

Forget my grandfather.  I frequently use several of those words.  Persnickety and skedaddle in particular.

Some of them I do use but not in the same sentence.  I have always loved the word gobsmacked.

Re: SOME OF THE BEST WORDS EVER

This is a great post and yes, I'm chuckling a lot... all these words are part of my vocabulary. The only one I'm missing is 'dadgummit'. I'm known to use it often but some family members say I shouldn't because it's a substitute for a cussing phrase?!? I got from my grandpa.

Re: SOME OF THE BEST WORDS EVER

I am flabbergasted to think that so many nincompoops don't incorporate most of these words into daily conversations instead of the malarkey that a lot of them spout daily.

Re: SOME OF THE BEST WORDS EVER

I still use a lot of these! Great words that can just describe what you are trying to say in one wonderful word! Or when you can't remember the right word for something these will always do!Woman LOL

I mean for example- doohickey-so good. My grandkids laugh everytime I use it.
