1.   When a British man saw a mysterious flying object that

lit up the sky he immediately called the authorities.  But before the police could react, the man called back saying, mystery solved, the UFO was actually the moon.

2.   After receiving a frantic call, the Regina, Canada, fire department raced to battle an inferno at the local Canadian Football League stadium.  The fire, it turned out, was a burning log displayed on the stadium's giant video screen.

3.   A man in Lincoln, Nebraska, learned that sometimes you just have to let go man.  Just let it go.  He arrived home one day to find he'd been burgled and that his favorite hookah pipe was missing.  So he called the cops.  But it was he who ended up in jail after after the police arrived and found the pot plants he was growing.

4.   A Romanian man called the police to report a strange noise in the house he happened to be burgling.  Police arrived and arrested the man, who, as it turned out, was the only one in the house, aside from the homeowner's noisy cat.

#2 reminds me of something similar that happened in Decorah, Iowa. Those who followed the Decorah Eagles nest cam a few years ago may recall when a 911 call went in to the Decorah Fire Dept.

Someone called in a fire near the nest worrying about the safety of the eagles. The caller was calling from Florida. Turned out the fire was in a neighboring area not near enough to cause harm to the nest. The cams made it appear nearer than it was.

So sweet that this Florida lady was so concerned about the precious eagles that she called in to the Decorah Fire Dept.

I heard a story on a podcast I listened to the other night. Two guys were house sitting their nephew’s house. The guys came in the house after work and heard noises. They tracked the noses down to loud founds coming from a bathroom. The guys called 912 and exited the house to wait for police. Police went inside to check the house. They talrackex the noise to the bathroom and they stood outside the bathroom door. They shouted they were the cops and for anyone inside to come out. No one responded but the noises continued so the police broke into the bathroom. Inside, they found a Roomba.
