We're in the snow belt and I'm not going anywhere today. So far we have about 14" of snow, and it's still snowing, heavy at times. The wind is calm right now but is expected to increase this afternoon and that will cause lots of drifting. DH just started the snow blower. I hope he's not wasting his time!
I think I'll make spaghetti with meat sauce later on. Tomorrow I'll make beef pot pie with potatoes (PA Dutch tradition). DH and I love both dishes.
So I'll watch out the window while the neighbor kids build snow forts and/or snowmen. There's plenty of snow for them.

What snow? Just another botched forecast from those highly paid, often wrong, certified meteorologists and their state of the art doppler radars...

Plans were to make a big breakfast, then meatballs and sauce. Last time I looked snow was about 10 in. I think. Well, I'm still laying in bed, hubs is snoring and one of the cats is sleeping on my feet.

It was a huge bust at the Jersey Shore. So much for NYC channel 4 and their brand new fabulous and most accurate devices ever to grace the earth.

I was looking forward to a pretty snowfall. Though we were only supposed to get 6"-8", it was still more than we've seen all winter. We have about 2" of slush with AWFUL wind. All this YUCK will more than likely freeze overnight.

@lulu2 for a short time earlier this morning, it was sleeting. In just the last few minutes, it stopped snowing.
I'd rather have more snow than the freezing sleet. ITA, it will be dangerous and yucky tonight! Windy here too, but not as bad as the coast. I am inland and it's bad enough.
Stay dry and warm. ![]()

The down side of working remotely is that we don't get any snow days. The office, of course, is closed but the work goes on. So, I'm working just like any other day. I'm working and watching the snow come down. I have big cup of tea by my side. It's really quite beautiful. Hubby's real job is closed today but Hubby works a couple of shifts a month for a temp agency, he's an RN and uses the money for our vacations. He's working a 12 hour shift at a local hospital today, they are bound to be short handed and he likes that hospital. His shift ends at 7pm, I'm praying the snow will have stopped coming down by then.

I'm recently retired so no work worries for me. We were supposed to get 12-18". Last I measured it was over 21 and it's still snowing like crazy. Several hours ago I went down the driveway and took pictures but it's just too deep to do that now. It's pretty, though.

I can't tell how much we got because of the drifts, I just measured 40 inches drift out my back door and that's not the highest. Beautiful and quiet.
It's still snowing, the wind has died down a bit. NE PA
