Some reports are saying coffee may help lose weight.
Others say coffee may help extend our lives.
And another says we should SLURP our coffee, mixing air with the liquid gives it a much better taste, more depth.
I have one cup of very good coffee a day, and since hearing this, I try to remember to slurp it. Home alone, of course. It really does allow more flavor to come through.
Has anyone else tried slurping?

@Noel7No, but I will give it a try with my next cup!

Oh, my, but I am not going to share this with Mr Slurpy, otherwise known as my husband. Since his hearing went, he slurps his coffee and soup. Makes me nuts.

I'm making coffee right now. I do believe it helps me from eating when I just want something a little sweet.

LOL @tansy ![]()
I can see why it would be annoying, which is why my "research" is home alone, lol.
Now I wonder if I should tell my soup loving DH? He might want to try the Slurp-for-taste method.

From PEOPLE magazine:
Drinking Coffee Can Help You Lose Weight (their title, I don't know if it's true or not)
Good news coffee lovers — your daily indulgence can have some major positive effects on your health.
Studies have shown that drinking coffee can lower risk of death as well as the risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, liver disease and neurodegenerative diseases. In his new book, The Coffee Lover’s Diet, Dr. Bob Arnot explores why consuming a cup of joe can come with health benefits.
“What is there in the coffee that’s so good? The very simple answer is polyphenols,” Arnot tells PEOPLE. “They’re what make fruits, vegetables, olive oil and red wine so healthy. It’s an antoxidant and anti-inflammatory, and the driving force of most diseases in America is inflammation.”
If you don’t want to overdo it on the caffeine, no worries. A New England Journal of Medicine study found that you can get similar benefits from decaffeinated coffee, as long as it’s a high-quality coffee.

Haven't heard of this before. But, can attest to its truth! With the weird weather we've been having lately - hot, humid, freezing, damp and rainy - many of us are suffering with colds and allergies. Strangely, when I'm all stuffed up, feeling yucky, I make a K-cup of coffee. And, will be feeling great before halfway thru. So, I can vouch for this article!

@nun ya have you ever put Torani syrup in your coffee?
I use the sugar free flavored, coconut, peppermint and S'mores are my top favorites.
When I am feeling like something sweet this helps
