Bought The Harvest collection.  Have 2 daughters with birthday's in October and they both burn candles so 2 will be gifts with a gift card attached, and one will be for Me!  I bought his last TSV in blueberry and apple and they smelled like the real thing, so I am hoping these are as good.

I have bought his candles in the past....many years ago!  I don't like his labels front and center on the candle containers -it detracts from the candle holder. He could put the labels on the bottom of the jar.  And I want simpler, less combos of scents....so am passing!  I mostly use candle melts now and find some really nice scents at WalMart!

I just orderded two sets and I am going to have to do something with those

labels ....maybe I will run across a label in gold or silver I can put over it ....

Something ....

@Big Joanie, I don't get this. FWIW, after I finished burning a recent Slatkin three wick candle, I easily removed the label and gave the jar to my hubby as he wanted it. It's been a couple months now, and I've only done it on that one candle, but as I recall it came off super easy. Course if you take the label off, the candle is now naked. But if that's what you want....

Has anyone else removed the labels? Please comment as I don't want to lead anyone astray with my one experience.

Yes i will buy Harry's as well as Bath and Bodyworks candles and wax melts from Walmart ; Better Homes and Gardens and ScentSationals, also Goose Creek melts. I bought the Harvest TSV today but will also check out Bath and Body Works candles and ,just remembered, their melts too. Smiley Happy . I also purchased the Homeworx candle pedestal, the poinsettia one. I bought the beautiful pinecone pedestal holder last year and the Gingerbread house from last year. So yes I would like some Slatkin candles any time Smiley Happy.

I bought both sets as there are many who fell in love with his candles while we were at the beach (I brought 2 to use outdoors). I'll sniff and see if any move me but the bulk are going to be B-day gifts and Christmas gifts; same with the AD set. The cost of $16 per candle (per gift) is great.

As for his labels, I soak them off. The jars are gorgeous and I use them to hold items in my bath, bedroom and vanity.

@corita are you talking about the candle sleeves? Some are pedestals too. I always turned the candle so that the label isn't facing forward or where you see the label. Yes never made sense to me to slide a sleeve over a candle with a label already on it. I thought they would at least come out with some with no label or have it on the bottom like you suggested too.

@corita Yes Walmart wax melts are wonderful. Melting "Zen" right now.

I think all the collections look lovely, but I would feel a little guilty spending that on a non gift.  I know that sounds silly, but when it comes to stuff I buy for me, I,m always looking to cut costs by a little.

@Chicagosuburbangirl I am the same way. Last year I did get his candles under "as is" for much less.

I used to buy and light candles all over my house.  I love them.

That was before Bill the cat came to live with me!  There is nothing he can't climb or get into, no matter what or where I try to put them!

I just never know what he's been into.  Just last week out of the blue I got up and two mornings in a row he'd turned over the trash can.  Now this isn't a real trash can but a big clothes hamper full of trash.  However, a small amount was left in the can (in the trash) of his special cat food, he got the munchies during the night.

Now he hasn't done this in 7 years that I've had him.  I couldn't figure out how he managed to turn over that huge trash can.

I realize how dangerous it is.  I took him into the Vet and had my friend (the Vet's nurse) check him out every day for a few days.  He seemed fine.  I don't remember anything dangerous being in it, who who really remembers their trash!

Now I have a cover over it and have moved it.  I always joke that he's always looking at all of the ceiling fans (like mentally measuring the distance.  Ha!

I still have quite a few of the popular candles that a lot of people buy.  There's a store near me and I used to go and get 5 or 7 at a time (the big one's).  They're sitting in the closet.
