Right now Buster is very happy. He just got some chicken mixed in his food. Spoiled baby.
Poor DIL. Heat and "ready to pop" is always so miserable. It's been twenty seven plus years, but I remember.

Oh Cali, I'm so sorry. That has to have been so hard for you. Sending you belated hugs and condolences. I know how we still grieve for our Yogi and it's not easy.

Soooo, DH is upstairs "napping" since 1pm. DD is asleep, but she took her cough medicine and that knocks her out. The sickest one in the house is on the couch...that would be me. I figured I better make myself some scrambled eggs or I would starve to death. Did the laundry and dishes. I am a little po'ed. I feel like throwing a cup of ice water in his face!! Argh!

Yep ... that sounds about right. I told you not to do anything, but you didn't listen. She is not, but she is sick. He is not because he knows you will do it. Keep him awake tonight with your coughing and hacking. Make loud noises while you're up. Complain as loudly as you can ... just for the fun of it. Stop getting up and doing things. If they need something, they are both grown and can do it. Ask him to make you a grilled cheese or something when he gets up. Just to see if he knows where the kitchen is.
I hate to ask DH to do things when I'm sick, but sometimes you just have to "put your foot down".

He did come downstairs once a couple of hours ago to get something to drink. I STILL want to throw ice water in his face. Don't know if it's from all the meds I am on or my illness or a combo of both!!! Yep, he's going to be up ALL night! I don't ask DH to do much for me usually when I am sick, but this is so different. He KNOWS where the kitchen is.....EXCEPT when I am sick. I am surprised he hasn't come downstairs and ask me "What's for dinner????"
‎09-06-2014 06:44 PM
He probably will ask you what's for dinner. He doesn't deal with emotions or illness, does he? Bite your pillow and say ... "Whatever you want to go pick up honey." Then roll over on the couch and go back to sleep. Then when he gets to the door to go get food softly ask him to get you some ice cream or a milk shake because you need something in your tummy so you can take your meds. Then roll back over and "go to sleep".
