That says that he believed he was a target no matter where he went. I'm sure there's more to the story about the man who shot & killed the 2 men.
Yes.
The man who shot and killed him was a fellow vet he was trying to help - not some "enemy."
I don't see any sinister plot at all - just a misguided attempt to help a disturbed fellow vet - in the worst way imaginable - placing him around weapons and shooting again.

Terrific movie. We saw it last night.
I believe what brought him back was helping other veterans. Too bad he was killed helping someone...

Unfortunately the original "scumbag" is Chris Kyle...who lied in his book. Lied so much that a jury granted (8-2) Ventura. Just because someone is dead doesn't make them a saint or grant them immunity. Many ex-SEALs encouraged Ventura to continue with the lawsuit after Kyle's death. Unusual circumstances, but if someone was wronged, there will be a price. Apparently 8 people on that jury agrees with that.

Arrogant liberal pride? .... Seriously ???
What the heck are you talking about?
ALL of the nominated movies were exceptional, in different ways ...... People in the film making vote based on many different technical details, not just was a good movie!

No kidding, Sherlock. And nobody said that there was a sinister plot.

Don't know who thought it was a good idea to stick a loaded gun into the hands of a PTSD veteran when there are less invasive ways to treat the stress. Transcendental Meditation, David Lynch Foundation, has proven over & over that meditation works for stress....not just veterans, but children in poverty-stricken homes, abused women, etc. why not try this first? It works...and Chris Kyle could still be alive today.

I agree. He did have some "issues" IMO. He was like everyone else. He did some wonderful things and some things I found "odd" for a better word. I am just getting this from his book so of course this isn't the full story and I will never know.

And let's not forget what Ventura said about 9/11.

We saw it yesterday. At times it was difficult to watch.
