WWII about 75.
I think IF you look at many in Congress and many of their sons and daughters . . . you'd have to analyze it over the last decade or so . . . but many do answer the call to service.
Go back and look at the votes. For Iraq.
War is not pretty.
Which is why the Greatest Generation may never be repeated.
Son has been watching Band of Brothers over the last few days DVR'd and just the thought of all those very young men charging off to war. Too sad to think about.
Either stay out. Or get in it to win it.
NO MORE Long Drawn Out decades long wars.
My choice . . .especially when it comes to the Middle East is STAY OUT of it. They've been fighting since the beginning of time . . . and probably will until the end of time.
For me, it is NOT an R issue or a D issue.
And Ground Hog Day on a bulletin board about any of them is really an exercise in futility.
It is what is it.
And the two sides, in America no less . . . will never meet or agree.
ab-so-friggen-lutely..................if you go in it, go in it, to WIN it..........and the middle east needs to be a hands off statis..............agreed Quackers..........they have been fighting for ions and they will continue....................................................raven

I haven't seen this movie, but I will tell you that was the same reaction in the theater years ago when the movie Platoon came out. While Vietnam was a tragedy all the way around, that movie showed us how horrible it was for the soldiers over there who had to do some killings that made your heart hurt. Everyone in the theater was crying and left silent at the end, there were no words left to say.

I do not understand what his house has to do with what he said.
it may have nothing to do with it or it may represent the hypocrisy of this man, he hates conservatives, wealthy corporations, is outraged by many of the things our (his) country does, gets very rich from our (his) country and the freedom to make movies and talk big talk but then slams our(his) country over and over. If he despises the capitalism in this country that made him rich, then he should go live off the grid like many other people are doing and not enjoy the comforts he has gotten at the expense of all those who fought for it long before any of us were around.

I'd like to see MM and SR spend a week with our troops and see what sacrifices they make for each and every person in this country and then come back and run their mouths.
