Moore tweeted, 'My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders R worse.' This was obviously directed at Kyle and the film.

I do not sympathize with Moore or see his POV nor will I try. His statement is ugly, self-serving and absurd. I could say there's a twinge of jealousy there as well but I won't.

Facts are facts. MM is obese - living with his millions he's made off of his films - I don't have a problem with that. But he has used his clout to denigrate our finest men and THAT bothers me. Perhaps MM should get off that backside and experience first hand what our brave men and women endure. To watch a person too lazy to care for his own health - doesn't surprise me he makes no effort to really "get it".

Perhaps MM also considers the snipers in our Revolutionary War as cowards, too.

Regardless of politics, of which our troops have no say in policy-making... Snipers save countless troops lives, as well as civilians who may have otherwise been bombed with enemy combatants. How self-absorbed and childish of MM to make it all about him and his personal feelings.

Where I disagree with MM, if I understand him correctly, is that war action should ever be a fair fight when two factions come against one another.

Where I think he is coming from is where one enters a country suddenly with intent to kill and overtake. Fairness went out the window from the beginning and is irrelevant.

Remember, it was for the oil and profit that we invaded. You can write "heroic" and "selfless" and all those nice words all over it but the bottom line is those words are all we common folk have to hang on to to tell ourselves it was honorable, never mind that young men and women of ours and theirs died in the thousands for that oil and profit that materialized for only a select few.

I really dislike MM but the criticism of his words and actions does not need to include derogatory comments about weight or the stereotype that because he is overweight he is lazy and doesn't care about his health.
