I was sad to hear this news. Like someone else mentioned, I really enjoyed watching him on Bones. I just completed the entire series, never watched it when it was on 10 or so years ago, and started watching it over the summer. He was really good on it, I thought. He had his demons, many celebrities did, but as an actor, I thought he was good. After watching Bones, I was shocked to see current pictures of him. Hope he didn't have to suffer very long, even with his ailments.

My son Ryan, born 1972, carries Ryan O'Neal's first name because I thought it so unique yet manly at a time when there were thousands of Michaels and Jennifers. Today there are Ryans all over the place including some girls, but you'll be hard pressed to find a Ryan older than my son who is 51. Just my personal piece of trivia. 😄

RIP Ryan O'Neal

Me too, my son Ryan is 40. When I was pregnant with my first child who was a girl, I saw Robert Urich on a talk show and he said his baby son is named Ryan, I said that is perfect for my child too, I just had to wait 4 more years to have my  son. There are some girls now named Ryan.

Wow! I didn't realize that that was how he and Farrah got togerther....Wow!!!Interesting.....They made a beautiful couple for sure.......I just re-watched Love Story about two months ago, the 1st time I had seen in it several years.......Still loved it though.....I always felt so sorry for his father in the movie-it seemed like he was trying so hard in the only way he knew how....I need to re-watch Paper Moon as well....He was such a nice looking man... RIP!!!
