The Ruth Bader Ginsburg statue is to be formally unveiled and dedicated in Brooklyn,  as the Borough President declares March 15th to be RBG Day.  The statue will be housed indoors with viewing hours.

I admired the woman and her lifetime of service and dedicated hard work.  The statue?  I'm not admiring it.  Too severe looking.

I admired RBG so much and look forward to more women following her lead.

I loved RBG. I hope the alma mater we share, Cornell University, creates a statue to honor her. Meanwhile, the statue in Brooklyn makes her look dour and severe, even masculine. That does not reflect who she was. The statue stinks.

  RGB is my hero!!  This statue doesn't reflect her energy & inner strength.

I am a huge RBG fan and am disappointed in this interpretation. Where is her indomitable spirit, her warmth, humor and humanity? To me, this portrayal makes her look depressed, defeated and resigned. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I find the Visage to be quite noble, inspiring and appropriate.   My understanding is that the Justice endorsed and approved this prior to her death.  I like it,  but I'm no art expert.

I feel similarly about the MLK statue in Washington. He looks so severe, as does RBG. Wonder why the sculptors chose such severity

Yes, it's a very severe look.  But that's how she appeared most of the time.  Just to be sure, I googled her and did find a few images of her with a smile.
