Re: Runway show in NEW YORK CITY

I only watched a little bit of the show, changing the channel fearing JT would be there. The show seemed like they were pretending to put on a real show, like little kids doing dress up. Watched JT last night presenting something I thought about buying, and there it was, a convoluted mention of her daughters. Changed the channel. Can she present ANY product without bringing them up? So freaking annoying.

@minkbunny   Agree 100%.    It's quite apparent that QVC wants to become an entertainment channel.  Singing, dancing etc.   I do not watch to be entertained I watch to shop which I no longer do.   On another note, how's everything with you and your cowboy?  I hope well...

@Junebug54   Hi there !   We are doing just fine, thank you for asking about us.  Celebrated our 20th anniversary in July - I remember well when I first met him and posted on here - Help, I think I am falling in love with a good looking cowboy.  A poster replied, Hang on and enjoy the ride.

Which I did and have enjoyed the ride immensely.   Hope this also finds you and yours doing well.

@minkbunny  I remember you so well because we both lost our first husbands around the same time.    And found a new love around the same time.    We'll be celebrating our 20th in November.

[ Edited ]

I stopped watching QVC on tv in 2001. Never looked back!! It was because of Susan Graver...never in my life was a person so annoying and loud.  Too much talking, dancing attention seeking..no product. lol  At the time it seemed she had special values every week, and would be on all day, and when she didn't have a TSV, she was ON. Well, that said, here it is 23 years later...and there she is. But viewers love her, they love her products and something works to the benefit of the customer, SG and QVC!,  here I am I dont even know any hosts on the q anymore , but Mary Beth and Jane.  I do a lot of business online QVC, SO NOTHING LOST.   I love online , better description of product.  I can see more product than offered in a hour segment.  I can go over, sizes, colors, where product is made and specifics , choose delivery method, where to send... and even see on video if I want. I could never watch live anymore., I started watching in 1989, and remember how addicted I was to it. Loved it, had my favorite hosts, they had some fantastic items back then. I enjoyed the made in US clothing, and jewelry. In those days not so many malls, and no internet so it was aGodsend.!  Somewhere around 2000, QVC changed and the products and uniqueness changed .  However, QVC is big, and there is a reason. I still use it often. . And...I have this forum I have been on over 20 years. That's the most fun thing!

Re: Runway show in NEW YORK CITY

Hi everyone!
Don’t think I’ve ever posted in the forums, but I’m a Q shopper for many years and swing by the forums a few times a week just to see what is happening in the Q community.
Wanted to chime in since I was at the NY Fashion Week shows on Park Avenue. Yes - it was a little chaotic (and warm in that room!) at times, but it was a lot of FUN! As a QVC watcher and shopper, it was great to see a live show on the road during an iconic week in NYC (I’ve been to Studio Park for a show - but it was many years ago).
I also work in TV/entertainment and I give their production staff a lot of credit for pulling off two unconventional live shows. I’m sure going live in a different venue could pose some production challenges, but the environment surely had a glitzy and celebratory feel of being in Manhattan
Overall, it was an enjoyable evening. Exciting to see some of the hosts, models, designers and vendors in person and be able to have a quick chat and snap a photo with them. Everyone I spoke to was professional and friendly. As I mentioned, I was impressed by the overall production. It was fun to talk to some fellow Q watchers in the audience or while waiting outside on Park Avenue to get into the event space. And the goodie bag was an unexpected treat!
One other note - I’m personally not at the “age of possibility” target age yet - in Q terms - but my guest for the evening was a male in his 50s who is not a Q watcher, and he enjoyed the shows and the messaging of celebrating and empowering mature women. He had a great time, too, and also felt it was an engaging experience.
That’s all! Thanks for reading my insight on the evening. Don’t tear me apart too much. Smiley Wink
