Reminds me, my husband, my brother and his wife all ran a half marathon. I was the "pack mule". I got to carry their jackets, extra water etc.

Sadly, none of them are running anymore. They all aged out with various ailments. So my "pack mule" days are over.

I didn't need special shoes.

Reminds me of myself.   I  sometimes get dressed in my cool sneakers and cute sport clothes to sit in the stands and watch my friends play tennis.

In some Countries sneakers are called "runners". You put them on but they refuse to run. What's up with that?

In some countries, they are also called "trainers".  Like you should be training for an event if you are wearing them!
