New view of destruction as investigation begins into deadly Northeast Philadelphia plane crash. 

A crater can be seen in the roadway where the medical jet made impact.

Chopper 6 was overhead, where charred vehicles and burned buildings could be seen as federal investigators arrive to examine the scene. The destruction spans several blocks.

A tragedy.  When does all this end.

Seeing the video of the crash, I'm amazed that, so far, no one on the ground was killed. Six were taken to hospital and three of those were treated and released. Considering the time of day and the numbers of people in the area, that seems something for which to be grateful, a blessing.

@occasionalrain The mayor just held a press conference and at least one person on the ground was killed and at least 19 have been treated for injuries.  

I agree that considering the time of day and location that more people weren't killed or injured.  I wonder if they have accounted for everyone that could have been impacted. 

The press conference also revealed that there is another location that they are investigating that had something to do with the crash.  Perhaps an incident with the plane that lead up to the crash.  Apparently the pilots were told to turn right just after take off by air traffic control and they did not. The reason for that is unknown.

All fires are now out.

Officials are going door-to-door looking for damage.

Many people on the ground were injured.

The governor has been by the mayor's side from the beginning.

We mourn, we pray, but we will recover.

What a horribly tragic and sad accident this was! Praying for the victims and families of both airline crashes!

This has to be one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. This poor little girl was at Shreiners hospital for four months receiving life saving treatments only to be killed in this horrific plane crash.  She was on her way home to Mexico with her mother-I can't imagine how the nurses and doctors who treated her and got to know her at Shreiners are feeling. They had just thrown her a goodbye party just hours before. Incredibly sad.😔
