Roku 2 for TV ?

If you have the Roku 2 how do you like it and can you get the same channels as you see now we have at&t u-verse we like QVC HGTV the food channels we have no HBO or any movie channels just what we get with at&t. Husband was just wondering if we can cut our cable bill costs just keep Internet and phone.

We never heard of Roku and we were wondering does it really work I appreciate any information if you have the Roku do you have to pay a fee to Roku? and to stream movies where do you go?
