Finally lost a lawsuit brought by Marvin Gayes' estate for their Blurred Lines song.

I heard about this...I'm not familiar with which song by Marvin got copied? Will have to look into it more.

I think it was a just verdict. Thicke testified that the MG song was inspiration for blurred lines.

I think the hook came from Got to Give It Up, not sure.......

Sydney - you got it! The first time I heard blurred I thought it sounded like MG...not surprised by the verdict at all....and an award of approx 7.4 mil is nothing.

I think the two songs sound very similar and I am glad they lost.

This lawsuit really made Robin Thicke look like a fool, not like he needed help. He really threw Pharrell under the bus. He was supposed to have written it as well and then he admits that he was too messed up on alcohol and vicodin and didn't write any of it. So he took credit for it when it was popular and everyone loved it and then when they were getting sued, he pushed it all of on Pharrell. Pharrell really handled it well though. I like him a lot. He is very talented.
