Right in front of my eyes

I was was just walking out to the mailbox to mail an important bill. I got to the box and I saw the mail carrier in his truck a few houses down the block. On his way toward my house. I waved. The carrier went to a couple of houses. I put the bill payment envelope in my mailbox and put the red flag up. The mail carrier drove right by it without even looking at the flag. I yelled loudly from my front yard as he had just almost passed by the length of my property and was picking up speed, "hey, hey, I have mail." He heard me. He then stopped and picked it up. I thanked him loudly and added in my thanks for his service during the pandemic. I hate to say it but I think he was only stopping when he had deliveries. I don't think he was picking up outgoing mail. He wasn't even looking for these. Here we put a red flag up on our mailbox when we have outgoing mail. Just a few weeks ago, I had put an envelope in the box and it was not picked up. My husband brought it inside. We had no incoming mail that day. The next day my husband put an envelope in the box and it was picked up but we had incoming mail delivered that day.

This payment can not be paid through my online banking and there isn't another way to pay it.

@Mindy D I guess it would be hard to know if the out going mail was picked up or not. We have a community street lock box...I put the out going mail in....and just hope it is picked up. .so far it has as all my bills paid by check have gotten to their destination.

I chased mine down the street one day waving a pink slip notice. He looked in his rearview mirror and sped up. He refused to pick up that slip and deliver whatever it was a notice of.
