Oh heavens who remembers Dr. Kildare/Ben Casey doctor shirts in the 1960's? The shirts were called by who was your favorite.
Simplicity even had a pattern to sew those shirts.
And yes I had one. 🤣
RIP 🕯️

@wagirl wrote:Am sorry to hear that. He was one of my faves--remember Dr Kildare??? I do barely --was a kid then and loved him in the 3 Musketeers and OMG--and the Thorn birds--- I must have read that book 10 times after the TV show. Haven't heard about him in many years.
@wagirl I also had a very soft spot for Richard. I'm so happy you mentioned the Three Musketeers! I loved that movie as it also had my heartthrob Michael York in it. Oliver Reed and Raquel Welch too!
The Thorn Birds was amazing...

When I was 7th grade he was the rage. I didn't watch. Those days we had one tv in family room, and I didn't watch much night time TV. But the girls at school talked about the show all the time. I might have watched it in reruns later on. He was handsome. Now, Shogun in the 70's. I do remember!! Still as handsome. I do remember our favorite bar had happy hour, then showed Shogun! All the guys, and some girls woukd put their hair in top knots, like a samurai, and watch with pots of hot Sake. lol dressed In self made happy coats. lol. Just thought of that. What can I say, I'm in California.

He was a great Actor. I remember watching the mini series Shogun with my parents in the 1970's. It was an amazing show. He will be missed.

I loved Dr. Kildare. Don't remember watching Ben Casey. Dr Kildare was the boyfriend that most of us wanted. In the 1990's Richard Chamberlain played against type when he was the evil butler in The Secret Life of Doris Duke. He did a great job of portraying Bernard Lafferty the butler who ingratiated himself with Doris Duke and managed to end up with a huge chunk of her fortune and control of the Duke foundation.
RIP Richard Chamberlain.

He'll always be Dr. Kildare to me. I'm old. 😄
