I had a bit part in a movie with him, once.

He was SO kind to everyone.

One day, we ended up both getting our hair done for an upcoming scene in adjoining chairs.

He was SO interested in the stylists.

Talked (in a quiet way) with everyone, wanted to know about their lives.

I had such a crush on him ,   What a handsome man and fabulous actor !   Dr. Kildare and especially Thorn Birds !

would love to watch that again if I could find it .

@1Professor How great an experience that must have been!  Lucky you, I always adored him and I'm happy to hear his personality was what I imagined it would be.  That's a nice memory to have.

@Group 5 minus 1   I remember that episode with Yvette Mimeux on Dr Kildare ,  it was called Tiger Tiger and he sang on that episode. It was all filmed on the beach as I remember .  Somehow I was able to watch that series probably 10 yrs ago would like to see it again
